New Daycare!

Monday marked the day of us changing schools for the Adelyn. Last week Adelyn & I visited her new school and had 2 "play dates" there: one hour on Wednesday morning and one hour on Friday morning. Wednesday, both she & I visited and played together. She got to participate with her new friends in playing outside and checking out her new playground- I think that's what sold her!;) Then Friday morning she played at school by herself for just an hour to get one last feel for her new surroundings. She did great!

When she woke up Monday morning, she was all ready to spend the entire morning with Ms. Kendra & friends all by herself! She even told me when she woke up that she had that "got to go" feeling for #2, but when we tried going on the potty she no longer felt "the urge." So she told me that maybe she'd try again in Ms. Kendra's room. When I came to pick her up- sure enough, she had successfully gone poo-poo on the potty! What a big girl!! :)

After beginning my yoga teacher training a few weeks ago (along with a new semester!) I quickly realized that just maybe, just maybe, my mom was correct in saying that such a load would be too much (shh, don't tell her!) Ian's morning naps have been iffy, and I really count on that 1 hour while he is napping on the days Adelyn is at school for me to get some studying done. After much thought, Luc & I decided to send Ian to school in the mornings (same days and times) as big sister. That way, after a full day with the kids, (sometimes) making dinner, going to yoga practice AND teacher training, I don't have to come home and begin doing homework at 10pm. I've been doing that the past few weeks, and it is just not possible, mentally or physically- nor healthy!

I knew I didn't have to worry about Adelyn switching schools. She was very well-prepared and adjusted. Not to mention she is so strong-willed and tough! But with Ian, my little lover, I knew it would be tough :(

There were some tears from Ian (& Mommy!) on our first day. He didn't take a morning nap, but soon enough he warmed up. Here are some pictures from his very 1st week of daycare!

Day #1:
Going down the slide!
His reaction when I picked him up!
Happy to be home!
After not taking a morning nap, he was ready for one in the afternoon!
And big sister, too!
Day #2:
I can color!
