This was the first summer I enrolled the kids in a mini-vacation Bible school! It only lasted about an hour and a half and included group worship with stories and songs. After that everyone broke up into groups according to age. Adelyn and some of her girlfriends all signed up together, but none of them ended up being in the same group. She loved it anyway- she is so brave! Ian and I signed up for the "parent/tot" VBS. With him my major concern was that, even though it only lasted for an hour and a half and for three days, it was during morning nap time :/ He only lasted (barely) the first day, then I decided I must bring him home for a quick nap while big sister braved VBS alone the remaining two days.
Here are some memories of our 1st mini-VBS experience! :)

Horray for VBS!

Perfect size for me!

Playing with a kitchen big sis won't take over ;)
A was in the "blue group," and each group wore colored headbands according to their group. A also made this frame at the end of the week. Terrible pic of a pic, I know, but you get the idea!

A was so excited to see friends at VBS, too!

Just could not make it home without that am nap!

After our 1st morning at VBS :)
The 2nd day of VBS, A came home singing a song I remembered singing in group worship from the 1st day, "Thank you God." Here is a little vid of her praising God :)
Can't wait to do sign up again next year- and hopefully Ian won't be such a bear next time!
