Sleepover with Josh

On Friday night we had Josh for a sleepover. The weather was pretty chilly, so I wasn't sure what kind of plans to make with the kids for that night. But the rain held off just long enough for me to cash in on the promise I made the kids a few weeks ago: let them stay up late to go to a home game to watch the marching band play. They were pretty excited!

So we took out our winter coats, hats, and gloves and Josh, Adelyn, and I headed to the game (it was too late for Ian, so he and Daddy stayed home). We had some popcorn as a special treat while we watched the game, then we watched the dance team and marching band perform. It was pretty nostalgic taking the kids back to my (and Luc's) high school, AND watching two activities I was so involved with and invested in myself . They loved it so much- especially when the drumline played their cadence as they marched off the field :)
Kids all bundled up...
...Ian wants to go, too!
At the game! :)
Warming up back home with some hot cocoa (A's 1st time!)
Snuggling before bed :)
