"Salon" Time!

After insisting that we'd grow out Ian's hair, even I couldn't deny it was getting a bit shaggy! I've cut his hair 3 times myself, but for this next cut I thought I had better take him in- he is too wiggly, which makes me go even slower! Since I scheduled an appointment for him, I thought I might as well schedule an appointment for Adelyn, as well. I've only trimmed her bangs and added layers once before, so she's never actually had the bulk of it cut!

I scheduled A to go first, hoping to pave the way for her brother since she was SO excited before hand (she kept talking about going to the "salon." Hehe.) But that didn't work out as planned...

There were tears from both parties, but Miss Pam worked fast and in the end they looked quite sharp! :)

Miss Pam even put a fancy braid in A's hair...and gave her a sucker!

After a morning at the "salon," we did a little craft shopping, then met Granny last minute for lunch at McDonald's. Both were a special treat! A's favorite on the menu is a plain "hanguber," while I likes the chicken nuggets. And, of course, the fries! Ian even sat in a big boy chair (no highchair or booster!) for the 1st time!

Following lunch (whew, busy day!), I selfishly wanted to get some mums to add to our porch, even though we will be having a new porch in just 2 more weeks! So we headed to get some flowers at Cub (greatest price!), and the kids got to have ANOTHER special treat...free kids cookies!
