Ringing in the New Year: Jan 2013

FINALLY I am caught up within the same calendar year AND within 6 months of being caught up on our family blog, whew! I finished school this week (today is now May 27), so I'm hoping to find more time for things I really enjoy, such as this!

This post will be recapping our January through videos and pictures only. I've discovered that, in having 2 kids, it is much more difficult to record dates & milestones when they occur. Which is why in going back and trying to catch up all these months later it's hard to remember what happened last week- let alone half a year ago! One day I'll be caught up;)

Until then!...

DATES TO RECALL:
Jan 6: At lunch in our kitchen there was a squirrel outside eating our birdseed, so I told Adelyn to tell him "scram"..just as effective, I suppose, she walked up to the sliding glass door, knocked on it and said, "Dangit! Those are for our birds!!" What a little spitfire!

Jan 11: Well it only took 8 months for Ian to take a nap...and now that he is officially a "napper" he & Adelyn are even on the same afternoon nap schedule. Yeehaw!

Jan 22: "Adelyn, what shape would you like Mama to cut your sandwich? Square, rectangle, or triangle?" "Circle."

Jan 25: Luc's last day of working crazy hours- we made it!

VIDEOS:

So much for the safety buckle, he can wiggle out of anything!

"MA! Help!"...
...On second thought, this is pretty silly!
Couldn't decide whether to play or nap, so he did both!

A rare opportunity that we actually get a photo of the two of us! :)

First time they both rode in the "big girl cart."
Lunch date with my faves!...
...all tuckered out after a fun morning & lunch!
Since A has REALLY begun using the potty, Mama made her a potty chart w/ coupons.
Every time she uses the potty she receives 1 coupon (there are 15 total), and 2 for going #2.
When she gets 5, 10, or 15 she gets to choose a treat (usually M&M's). So proud of my big girl!!
