After months of asking, Luc and I finally took A to get her ears pierced. She has always liked to wear Mommy's jewelry, and earrings were the one thing she couldn't wear. Initially I told her she had to be 4 to have her ears pierced (no real reason other than that is when I first had mine pierced, so I thought that was a good age), but after wearing some clip-ons a few times I thought 3 1/2 wasn't any too early! Last month I took A to Claire's to have her ears pierced (I knew it would take at least one time of walking out crying before she was really ready), and sure enough she wanted Daddy to be there. But at least she knew what to expect for the next time 'round, and she was even excited because she knew they had, who else, HELLO KITTY earrings. Winner!
So last night, the four of us went out to dinner, then to the mall to garnish her little lobes. She knew there would be a little "poke," but that she would get a sucker when finished. There were some tears, but Daddy was there to hold her on his lap, and she really took it like a champ! So tough :)
