July: Ian and 15 Month Happenings

Ian turned 15 months at the end of this month! He continues to be wild and all over the place- definitely all boy! Over the month of July, he has started to say "ook," which pretty much means anything. He will say "ook" and bring me something, or as he points to something, but at this point it is fair game for any word! Towards the end of the month he tried saying what we thought might be "thank you," which for him went something like, "ka ka." We'll see where it goes! Although he is not yet saying words, he does have a pretty good grasp on understanding them. Right now, he mostly understands "no no" or "uh uh," and generally stops doing whatever it is he is doing that I am telling his to stop (ie. opening the toilet, climbing on something, walking in the street).

Other than that, some of his favorite things never change! He loves being outside. He LOVES trucks and all of his truck books. He still loves the ceiling fans. And, of course, loves his bear. Lately he has been seeking out the tag on his bear, which is so cute to watch his little chubby hands rotate his bear to every corner until he finds the tag to snuggle to his face! :)

Here's a look at our boy through July...

Such a giant!
Helping me set up the sprinkler
Silly Mommy, make up is for girls! (But I like the tickle on my cheek!)
Such a big boy!
He now climbs up on the ottoman, but is still building up the nerve to jump
onto the couch like big sis
Strangely he just discovered he can suck his big toe...and
that Mama gets a big belly laugh every time.
I love my Grampy:
Fun at the park with Grampy!
Yay!
Down the slide by himself (something new lately!)
Checking out Grampy's wheels
Mommy's & Ian's short new do's
Waiting for the fire truck to take him for a ride...
Could he take up any less space?!
Working with Daddy
Cool like Daddy ;)
"Mom I need some lunch money today..."
In awe of his newest discovery of actually SEEING the airplanes
Happy 15 month birthday, Sweet Pea!
